This set was designed to provide the test technician with an inexpensive, accurate, and easy to use instrument kit for making power and loss measurements in the fiber optic LAN environment.
The test set offers 850nm operation to provide power or loss measurement solutions for short wavelength fiber testing. Power for both the meter and source is supplied by a single cartridge loaded
9V battery which will yield a typical battery life of 80 hours and 14 hours respectively. A low battery indicator is included on both units to ensure accurate measurements.
Regarding durability, the LANLITE™ test sets are built of machined aluminum, not plastic, and therefore have structural integrity and a feel superior to that of most fiber test equipment. Finally, these units are very easy to use. To make a power measurement, simply connect the fiber, flip the power switch and begin testing.
